David Morse is a dedicated public servant running for Fourth District Judge. David joined the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho in 2021. As an Assistant United States Attorney, David has prosecuted a wide range of federal crimes, including drug trafficking, firearms offenses, wire fraud, embezzlement, and aggravated identity theft. David also presented oral argument on a nuanced Fifth Amendment issue before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Before serving as a federal prosecutor, David was a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Idaho in the Special Prosecutions Unit. There, David prosecuted an array of criminal cases ranging from public corruption, insurance fraud, and violent crimes. He held elected officials and members of the public equally accountable for their criminal conduct.
David attended law school at the University of Idaho after a successful career at Putnam Investments in Boston, Massachusetts and IMG Live Consulting in Norcross, Georgia. David received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts at Darthmouth. David is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served as an Intelligence Specialist, Imagery Analyst, and Arabic Linguist.
David lives in Boise with his delightful partner, Katelyn Skaggs, and his Sheepadoodle, Max. In his spare time, David enjoys motorcycle rides around Idaho, skiing, golfing, competitive shooting, and spending time on the lake at Lucky Peak with his friends and family.
